Exercise : Object in different positions in the frame

Aims of the exercise:-

  • Find a subject which is very clear and set within a large, even background.
  • Take a series of photographs in which the subject is placed in different positions in the frame.
  • Lay the prints out in order of preference evaluating which version appears to work the most comfortably

Setting up

I had a very kind offer from my husband (hereinafter known as JB) that he could stand amongst the heather on the Common, holding an umbrella with his back to me.  I appreciated that and thought I would hold it in reserve.  However, I don’t know why but I had a yearning to photograph a horse.  Read the rest of this entry »
